I have always been driven towards achieving various goals in life. It’s been an obsession to the point that having a clear direction all the time was the main purpose of my life. In the process I have missed out on enjoying the small moments of joy that the present always brings.

In between the highs after achieving the goals, there has always been the down time, the dark phase… before motivation comes back and I figure out a new purpose. Right now I am in such a state, but instead of pressurising myself to quickly find a new purpose and get back running towards it, I am allowing myself to embrace the beauty of the unknown.

Living without a direction doesn’t mean living aimlessly or without purpose. It’s about finding joy and fulfilment in the present moment rather than constantly chasing after some elusive future goal. It’s about being fully present and engaged in whatever I am doing, whether it’s enjoying a delicious meal, taking leisurely walks in nature, or spending quality time with loved ones.

It’s opened me up to a world of possibilities and opportunities that I may have otherwise overlooked, learning to trust the process of life, knowing that everything happens in its own time and for a reason.
