Do you need luck to take risks in life? Well I have never been lucky in life! In the sense I have never won a lottery or made millions by betting on something. Had to work hard to get what I wanted, but always had what I needed. Even though it may have taken me time to value it. Every time I have taken a risk, knowing my luck I am prepared for the outcome not being in my favour. Taking time to think through and take calculated risks. Plan A, Plan B.. till Z. Sticking by that decision and giving it my best…. Until a better opportunity comes by…. and then time to take another risk.
10 years ago I left my family real estate business and joined a social media agency hoping to restart my career in a creative field and with the dream of eventually starting my own company someday. I loved everything about that job. The People, the work, all of it.
Within 4 months of me joining, the partners split and one of them offered me a partnership role in the new firm.. It wasn’t an easy decision I was just settling in, loved the people and there were so many reasons to stay back. Just one reason to leave.. My commitment to myself to fulfil my dream. One that I had told myself while leaving my family business… To not let emotions and attachements hold me back…. Especially when the whole universe had transpired to make my dream come true.
Took the decision!!.. and years later here I am, being through ups and downs of a bootstrapped startup, no regrets for the leap of faith I took. The chance to create my own team, push myself out of my comfort zone and so much more I have learnt along the way and so much more yet to learn. Through tons of self doubts, somehow I have managed back myself up to get through some difficult decisions.
Yes there have been many times after that… mostly during tough times that I wondered if I had made the wrong choice. But then if you have to take a chance… take a chance on yourself!
There will always be those decisions that bring you to the cross roads in life. Yes they have risks… Have faith in your ability to crawl out of things. All of us have it in us…. Take a leap of faith and make the decision you have been holding out on!

Thought of mine being a blogger
I don’t know how people find my writing my post on different topic.
I don’t know the people who read my post, where are they from, what do the do?
But the most important thing being a blogger is to inspire people to express through writing, to motivate people in their bad time, to move out through their past. I too started blogging to move from my past and express me freely through writing and I suggest people to do so.
